Dos Déus Vermouth is made with 80% of the reserve and 20% of vermouth matured during 1 year in 650lt. chestnut barrels of 50 years, according to the solera system that characterizes the “Dos Déus” Reserve Vermouth.

It's said that the vermouth, or rather the fortified wine, was invented by Hippocrates, a well-known doctor, born in 460 B.C.
Hippocrates put the wine to macerate in wormwood flowers and leaves of Díctamo, known for their healing properties, elaborating what was known as Hippocratic wine or simply herbal wine. The current name of vermouth is dated in 1786 when the chaplain Antonio Benedetto Carpano, of Turin, adopts the German name of its main ingredient "wermut" (absinthe).
