Maraschino Luxardo is a delicious liquor made from maraschino cherries extracted in the same plantation of the Luxardo winery. Luxardo maintains the original recipe from 1821 that requires four years to produce this specialty. Maraschino cherries are harvested from Luxardo's own trees and then the solid components are infused in wooden barrels.
The product is distilled in small copper stills. Finally, a combination of sugar and water is added before bottling.
Nose: typical of the distillate of marasca, with an excellent intense aroma, well and well amalgamated, without any aggressive note. .
Taste: soft but sharp, an unusual sweet liqueur for the distillate hit, which can be clearly perceived despite the moderate alcohol content. A rounded flavor and a surprisingly persistent aroma.
